Ebay Advice:
A is also for Always Be Listing. That is the single best ebay advice I've ever gotten (can't remember the blog it came from?). Ebay promotes active sellers and all of your items will pull up more if you list daily. Even just listing 3 items a day will help keep your store active. It will also mean you have items ending most days which also helps pull up your items. Because this is such an important tip that's the only 'A' ebay advice.Clothing & Shoe Brands:
This is not an exhaustive list of A brands. Feel free to leave your favorite A brands in the comments!!
Click on the brand names to see recently sold pre-owned items of this brand and do some research yourself.
Anthropologie -- I could and probably should write an entire post about Anthropologie. I sell a lot of Anthropologie items. They are a website that has many in house brands and sells select items from other brands. The items have the RN 66170. Urban Outfitters & Free People also use this RN. Urban Outfitters brand's are not worth nearly as much as Anthropologie brands so I use this website. It has links for Anthro tags (some labels don't have names just images) as well as Urban Outfitters tags. I suggest looking through the labels and memorizing some of the brands. A lot of people put the word Anthropologie in titles just to try and get more views but I try not to do that. I worry someone will return for item not as described because a brand isn't actually Anthropologie. Around here Moth, Elevenses, Daughters of the Liberation, Pilcro and the Letterpress and Mother are quite common. I do the best with Anthro shoes dresses, coats and jeans. Neat looking sweaters also do well. Anthropologie boots can be worth a lot. I sold a pair for nearly $200. Most items have a product name and taking the time to find it can help your item sell for a lot more.
Athleta -- Newer/more unique Athleta items do the best. Almost anything Athleta sells for me so I always pick it up at the outlet. From thrift stores I try to stick to things in excellent condition that aren't too expensive (under $5). Sweatshirts, pants and coats can be worth more so paying a little extra is sometimes worth it. Athleta items have a style number so it is easy to look them up prior to purchasing to see if they are worth it.
All Saints -- This brand does well on ebay across the board. Sweaters, dresses and coats do especially well. Leather jackets are a must buy unless they are crazy expensive. They also make shoes which sell well. Remember that sometimes AllSaints items will have only a UK size so do some research to make sure you are putting the right US size (normally they are 4 sizes down so a UK 12 is US 8). Some items will have both sizes.
Avivit Yizhar -- I've only found one item from this brand but they do well on ebay. They have a neat lagenlook style and mine sold quickly.
Ann Demeulemeester -- I've never found anything by this brand but it's a dream of mine!! I think her boots and coats are so cute!! Plus they sell for a pretty penny so that's always a plus.
Anyi Lu -- Expensive heels & boots. These sometimes end up in the Nordstrom Rack but it doesn't seem to have seriously diminished their resale value on ebay. Wide variety of prices.
Ariat -- I've had good luck with the boots. Ariat Fatbaby boots do extra well. Use your judgement on vintage shoes because some do well and some do poorly. Wide variety of prices
Aquatalia -- Boots sell really well. I sold an unsized pair for $35 which is really cheap for the brand but great for an unsized boot! Generally go for over $50 and can go for well over $100
Arche -- All styles do well. Basically all shoes in good condition will sell for over $50. Special styles or boots can go for over $100.
Aston Grey -- Men's boots that are stylish do quite well. They can go for $50+. Normal shoes are much more hit and miss.
